In her own words, 10 years ago Bornstein Seafoods took a risk hiring a woman with an advanced degree in museum studies whose work experience consisted of commercial fishing, retail clothing sales, and seafood education. But their risk paid off when Svensson proved herself a passionate leader in the seafood sector.
IntraFish: How did you enter the seafood industry and why? What drew you to it as a career?
Christa Svensson: My parents were fishermen and some of my earliest memories are of being on boats.
