With a science masters under his belt, Okland has worked his way up through Bremnes Seashore from by-product utilization, production management, through to sales & marketing.
He has also been integral in two start-ups including production of the SALMA-loin, creating a new category in Norwegian seafood retail, and Ocean Quality where he was responsible for conceptual trade, brands and VAP.
He runs his own oyster farming and marketing project under the Vesters brand and is a creative advocate of technology and innovation in the sector.
