A family business through and through, Whitby Seafoods appointed Daniel Whittle as its managing director late last year after gathering eight years under his belt working as supply chain manager, then operations director and managing director of the company's Northern Irish business Kilkeel Seafoods. “The best career decision I ever made was to employ my children," said his father Graham Whittle at the time.
IntraFish: How did you enter the seafood industry and why? What drew you to it as a career?
Daniel Whittle: It's a family business, so Whitby Seafoods is long ingrained into my soul.
