Driven by a passion for nature, people and conservation, and by the concept of her job being part of her "life's work," Howgate has an established career in seafood sustainability and has time and again demonstrated her strong leadership qualities as part of the advisory teams on projects such as Sustainable Fish Cities, the international Seafood Summit, World Fisheries Congress and the responsible seafood sourcing of London 2012 Olympics.
IntraFish: How did you enter the seafood industry and why?
Emily Howgate: I originally come from a science background, studying ecology and marine biology at university.
