British Columbia salmon farmers still waiting to be heard
Monterey Bay Aquarium's Seafood Watch program gives all farmed salmon a red "avoid" rating, which doesn't sit right with salmon farmers in British Columbia.
Marine Harvest Canada and the British Columbia Salmon Farmers Association told IntraFish they invited Seafood Watch to tour their farms and discuss how they could improve their rating in 2005 and did not get a response until 2010, when program members came up to take a tour.
