Sushi fever
Many markets have stories of booming sushi consumption, and it seems Russia is no exception. “We see a sushi trend in Russia, sushi restaurants are at every corner [in Moscow],” Jan Eirik Johnsen, director of Russia for the Norwegian Seafood Export Council, said.
The most popular specie for sushi by far is salmon, he added. Many of the restaurants are part of chains, such as Yaposha, Yaponya and Planeta Sushi.
